WHEN THE RIVERS RUN DRY Water - the defining crisis of the 21st century Fred Pearce
Tuesday 28th October 2008 at 7.30 pm at the Three Counties Hotel, Belmont Road
Fred Pearce is an author and journalist specialising in global environmental issues, including water and climate change.
“Water conflicts are already happening all over arid parts of the world. Managing water is a model (and, because of its urgency and universality, the defining model) of how we deal with nature. My belief is that if we can get water right we will be able to get most things right.”
"Fred is one of the few people that understand the world as it really is." James Lovelock, (scientist and author of the Gaia hypothesis)
